Our Rebranding Journey
Sharing an exciting milestone with you all: The refreshed TNi brand!

Dear Transitioners, partners, and friends,
We are happy to share the next chapter of our journey with you: a refreshed brand identity for Transition Network international (TNi). This rebranding marks a meaningful evolution of our visual and narrative identity, reflecting the growth and inter-connectedness of the global Transition Movement while honoring our roots.
Why a Rebrand?
Since its beginning in 2005 (!), the Transition movement has blossomed into a vibrant, decentralized network of communities worldwide. As the movement evolved, so did our role as a supporting organisation – you'll remember this article we shared about the governance evolution a while ago. The rebranding aligns our identity with this new phase, celebrating our history and embracing the dynamic, relational, and grassroots spirit of Transition.
Key Elements of the Rebrand
Logo Evolution
- Our new logo transforms the original seedling into a symbol of mycelial networks, deep roots, and interconnected growth. It represents TNi’s role as a nourishing force for local hubs, territories and groups, bridging grassroots action with global wisdom.
- The design integrates earth and sky motifs, reflecting groundedness and expansive vision.

Color Palette:
A vibrant yet earthy palette blends teal (honoring our legacy), night sky blue, sunset orange, and floral white – evoking trust, warmth, and possibility.

Tone & Voice:
- Casual, confident, and visionary: Our communications aim to embody the warmth of community, the urgency of transformation, and the joy of collective imagination.
- Tagline: “A movement of communities coming together to reimagine and rebuild our world”
Brand Essence:
- Keywords: Resilient, caring, playful, emergent, diverse.
- Hashtags: #TransitionMovement #ReimagineTogether, #CommunityPower.
Behind the Process
This rebrand was co-created through workshops with Transitioners and team members worldwide, facilitated by re:storied, a regenerative communications organisation we enjoyed working with – thank you folks! We explored:
- The Communications Ecology of TNi
- Ways of being, sensing, and relating within Transition.
- The movement’s “dream”: Every person joining a caring community where they belong and thrive.
- Our role: Nourishing, connecting, and enabling community-led transitions.
