Host a HOPE screening & bring the wave to your community
Host your own HOPE screening event!
We are thrilled to announce that Transition Network international has signed a collaboration agreement with the producers of HOPE (El Gato Verde). This partnership makes it easier than ever for Transition groups to access this inspiring documentary series and spread its powerful message. Join us and host a screening in your community!
What is HOPE?
HOPE is a documentary series rooted in active optimism. It amplifies the stories of communities worldwide who are regenerating the planet and building a more just future. Filmed across 17 countries on 4 continents, it gathers over 40 solutions already having a positive impact on Earth.
Launched in 2025, the series has been a huge success. Transition Network is proud to be a supporter and part of the Regeneration Alliance that emerged from this project.

The wave is growing
The HOPE series is already creating ripples of change:
- Across the Transition Movement: In October, we hosted an online screening with co-director Javier Peña, Filipa Pimentel, and Rob Hopkins. Over 200 people registered, and the feedback was overwhelming.
"I was really glad I managed to be part of the Hope Screening... A few of us from Sustainable Chipping Norton would like to host the whole series of Hope films. We felt it would be a good way of drawing people together, generating discussions, lifting spirits, connecting people with the energy to take forward projects and ideas" - Cara Hedges, Sustainable Chipping Norton.
Read more about the event here:

- Influencing Decision-Makers: On December 3rd, 2025, HOPE was screened at the European Parliament. Filipa Pimentel helped host a side event, bringing the power of community-led change to wider decision-making spaces.

- Spreading Across the Globe: Groups are already organising screenings all over the world.

- A Proven Tool for Transition: Film nights are a fantastic way to engage your community. As Rakesh Rootsman Rak shares:"Organizing a screening of a chosen film for a specific local community can be a great starting point to guide people interested in Transition and generate enthusiasm and engagement".
