On Monday, October 13th 2025 we will gather to watch, listen, feel and share about hope, possibility and regeneration in our communities and the world.
We have chosen episode 2, where Rob Hopkins guides us through some key achievements and examples of regeneration:
- Ernest Mas, the farmer who swapped pesticides for flowers and managed to produce more by regenerating the soil.
- The secret network of the soil – with Toby Kiers, exploring the fascinating cosmos that exists underground and its implications for the climate and agriculture.
- The power of the people – the child-led mobilisation that transformed Amsterdam into a cycling and pedestrian paradise in the 1970s, with one of its protagonists, Maartje van Putten.
- The emergence of the Transition movement, through its protagonists in Liège, who have revolutionised the city's food supply.
- The transformation to recover the soul of cities, led by Paris
After the screening, we will hear from the exquisite panel and open the Q&A session with participants.

Every change begins with two words
What if there were another way to produce our food that would allow us to better manage water and natural resources while reducing emissions? What if there were another way to design our cities, to climate-control our homes? What if we came together to watch this episode and shared about it...?

Climate change is not only an environmental challenge, but also a call to reimagine the way we live. In this episode, we discover how two words, ‘What if?’, can help us design the world we want and trigger surprising transformations in different parts of the world. From farmers replacing pesticides with flowers to regenerate the soil and protect pollinators, to cities redesigning their streets to give them back to the people, imagination is proving to be one of the most powerful tools for solving the climate crisis. Accompanied by figures such as Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition Towns movement, and scientists such as Toby Kiers, who studies underground soil life, we travel to Liège, Amsterdam and Paris, among other places, to learn about stories of innovation and courage.
The event will be held in English with live interpretation to Spanish and French. If you’d like to support interpretation to another language, please contact us at comms@transitionnetwork.org
