First project sharing engine meeting information
The first meeting to open up the ‘alpha’ group of Project Sharing Engine community members is on Tuesday 1st November, 11:30 – 15:00. Hurray!
We will meet in the Royal Festival Hall, on Southbank in London. We will meet in the big space ‘at the back’ of the building’s first floor (the side that is not overlooking the river). It’s a great space and free; the wifi is patchy but our primary need is human connection and conversation, not online stuff.
After the meeting some will want to dash for trains, others will want to relax by the river; there are some good bars in the area. (I’m on a cheap 20:00 return to Bristol train so could be tempted for an ale or two).
We will start promptly at 11:30 with a round of short introductions; we won’t have time to recap or retrace steps I’m afraid so get there well before and grab a cup of tea before we start.
We will take a short lunch for a brisk trot around the building to refresh our brains and bodies (Jim will lead on the press-ups and star jumps for the sportier among us) and get some food (bring sandwiches, the bar is nice buy pricey).
The meeting is not intended to be in an indepth technical blah blah meeting; that will come in the future for those who want it.
This meeting is there for us all to:
- settle in and introduce ourselves
- introduce the project
- identify the key questions we can see at this early stage
- think about the proposal, the product and the service in theory
- agree our engagement with the project, agreed processes, and next steps
