Join the Transition Network international team as an online Community weaver!

Dou you believe in the power of stories to inspire action and nurture transformation in a time of global transition?
Are you ready to bring your creativity, digital skills and heart into a role that supports people and communities around the world working for a just and regenerative future?
Transition Network international is looking for a part-time Community Weaver to help us deepen our connection with a diverse audience and strengthen our online presence across platforms including Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and HumHub.
We’re a small, values-driven team supporting an international movement of communities building local resilience in the face of global challenges like climate change, inequality and disconnection. Our communications work is about more than just reach or likes –it’s about weaving connection, amplifying diverse voices and showing that another way is not only possible, it’s already happening.

This role will involve a balance of creative content creation, responsive community engagement and strategic sensing-thinking. You'll be working closely with our communications team to co-create campaigns, develop engaging content and apply the latest best practices in social media. If you’re someone who loves translating complexity into clarity, speaks from the heart, and would like to bring ethical practises to this evolving world of digital storytelling, this could be a great fit.
We’re looking for someone who:
📱 Has experience managing social media platforms (ideally with tools like Hootsuite or Canva).
💬 Understands how to build authentic relationships online.
🎥 Can help us create and curate visual and video content.
🗣️ Can communicate in English and one or more other languages.
💛 Is aligned with the values and spirit of the Transition movement, especially around Just Transition, inclusion and accessibility.
This is a paid, part-time and fully remote position. We welcome applicants from all locations and backgrounds and we’re especially keen to hear from those who bring perspectives and lived experiences currently underrepresented in our team and movement.
You do not need to meet all the requirements – what matters most is your willingness to keep learning, collaborate and contribute to a movement that’s reimagining the world from the ground up.
