December 2025: Rhizoming
In this issue: narrative hacking, Day of Transition 2026, 'Collective Imagination for Local Possible Futures' toolkit, funding opportunities and more!
Dear friends,
We've been rhizoming this year. Like rhizomes spreading underground, we've been growing connections that might not always be visible but strengthen our entire ecosystem. We've learned that the way through the challenges is in togetherness and nourishing each other in community.
Check out the news about narrative hacking, the Culture Transformation game, the peacebuilding activities in Australia, the Book Club in Germany, save the date for the Day of Transition Practise 2026... and join us in sharing your community stories on Waves - together we're building an unstoppable movement!
See you next Friday at the Seasonal Gathering! As we gather to close this chapter, let's carry forward the wisdom we've grown together into the new year.
With love,
The Transition Network international team š±

Resources
- Alex Urbieta from Mexico would like to share a "Collective Imagination for Local Possible Futures Toolkit" - with the intention that it will serve us to co-create communities of practice, "islands of coherence of collective imagination for local possible futures". Here is a link with the introduction of the Toolkit, if you want to explore more about it, you can download the whole "Backpack" at www.imaginacioncolectiva.org, in the section Ego-Eco.
- FITO Network have developed a Network Weaver Game! It starts with a playful self-reflection on your teams' current network leadership skills and identifies areas to improve them. Then it supports people and the network to set up learning plans to deepen the skills that have been identified. Here are the self-reflection tool and the self study guide with lots of resources.
