# October 2026: Reconnecting

Last year, at a public event we hosted, we met someone who had co-founded a Transition group in 2010, grown and developed it for four years, and then watched it transform into something else. They told us **they missed being part of the movement, but didn’t really know how to reconnect**. Their story stayed with us. It made us wonder how many others have had similar experiences, and what possibilities might emerge if some of these people found their way back into connection with one another and with the wider Transition movement. 

So we’re opening a space to (re)connect and listen. We don’t know exactly what might come from it, and we don’t need to know yet. We’d simply like to **hear from people who have been part of Transition, are no longer connected to a local group, Hub or the international movement, and feel a desire to reconnect**. We hope to learn from your experiences, share reflections and ideas, and explore together what we might learn from the past that could offer inspiration for the movement today.
