# Launch of the Living Systems Alliance!

Around the world, communities are rediscovering how to live and lead in kinship with the living Earth and in ways that honours the intelligence of nature. In a time of accelerating disruption, these initiatives are more vital than ever, as a living proof of how people, places, and the wider community of life can lead transformation together.

The **Living Systems Alliance (LSA)** has formed to strengthen those connections: a partnership between [**Transition Network International**](https://transitionnetwork.org/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org), the [**Biomimicry Institute**](https://news.transitionnetwork.org/october-2025-learnings/), the [**Global Ecovillage Network**](https://ecovillage.org/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org), [**Kincentric Leadership**](https://www.kincentricleadership.org/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org), and the [**Permaculture Association**](https://www.permaculture.org.uk/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org), dedicated to accelerating nature-centric decision-making and design.

We came together to start cultivating pathways for communities and regions to design and decide as and with nature, weaving place-based action into a living fabric of wider transformation where many kinds of beings shape the future together.

Over the next two years, the LSA will: 

- **Cocreate a toolkit** — accessible practices for nature-centric design, decision-making, and governance for place-based partnerships and global networks
- **Work with 8–10 regional partnerships** to pilot and deepen these approaches, supporting place-based communities to act as catalysts of regeneration, resilience, and transformation.
- **Grow a global community of practice** linking people, places, and movements that are bringing life’s intelligence into policy, planning, and everyday decisions.
- **Gather and share stories of humans as keystone species**, highlighting real examples of communities working in deep alignment with nature to regenerate the living systems they belong to.
