# Landshare launches groups tools

Our friends over at the magnificent [Landshare](http://www.landshare.net/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org) have just launched a suite of nifty ‘online groups tools’ for landsharers wanting to set their local growing groups up online. They look handy – here’s the outline: 

> You can now start a local group or register your existing group on Landshare with a brand new section on the website.

> We know that much of landsharing activity takes place offline and our group functionality is designed to support just that.

> Key features include the ability to:get more people involved in your groupsend group messagespromote eventscollate listings, blogs, photos and more between a number of users all in one placeget your own unique Landshare URL that you can promote to others i.e. www.landshare.net/hackneyheroes

> To access Groups, click on the “Community” tab and then “Groups” or go to the groups page on the site.
