Collab Jovem at Humanaterra, Brazil

Hi global community! I felt to share with you one of our latest meaningful experiences in Transition Brazil… From Thursday to Easter Sunday, we held Collab Jovem at Humanaterra (São Paulo) — a living experience of transition in action.

Collab Jovem was born within the Transition Movement as a pathway to meaningfully engage youth in the transition. From this experience, Universidade Vida also emerged — inspired by the same principles — as a free university dedicated to reimagining education through the lens of regeneration and care for life. It was founded by Gabriela Montenegro, a member of the Brazil Hub, as part of this broader movement of transformation. Today, Collab Jovem is part of this ecosystem, creating immersive spaces where young people can pause, connect, and explore new ways of being in the world.

This edition brought together 25 young participants in a carefully held environment of trust, expression, and collective learning. Over four days, we witnessed what becomes possible when youth are met with presence, care, and the freedom to be who they are. Through its approach, Universidade Vida empowers young people to actively engage with life, regenerating their territories in an intergenerational way. Its methodology is rooted in holistic territorial engagement, based on Regenerative Life Projects, and unfolds across three learning cycles: initiation, development, and deepening.

UMMA was also present through 8 of its members as part of the educator team. UMMA itself is an initiative born from the transition movement — a space of deep collaboration among regenerative entrepreneurs who co-create projects and businesses that care for life.What we experienced together reaffirms something essential: transition is truly a living movement, rooted in open hearts, and nurtured through the way we live, embody, and cultivate relationships and shared spaces.

Collab Jovem is one of these spaces. And it is just beginning.
