# Capital Bee Competition

Capital Bee are running a [competition](http://www.capitalgrowth.org/bee%5Fcompetition/?ref=news.transitionnetwork.org) to give away 50 full Bee-keeping kits – here’s the outline:

> Capital Bee is delighted to announce our competition for 50 communities in London to win the equipment, bees and training to help them start up with beekeeping.

> The competition opened on 16th December 2010 and the final date for completed applications is 5pm on Friday 28th January 2011\. The winners will receive a beehive, the protective clothing, basic tools, training, mentoring and support to enable their community to set up with beekeeping by spring 2012\. We know, however, that beekeeping is a big responsibility and takes time, dedication and the right sort of space for the bees and community to flourish, so the application process will be quite detailed.
