Become a trustee of Transition Network International
Would you like to help guide an organisation that supports communities working for social and environmental change?
Transition Network International (TNi) is looking for three new trustees. We welcome people who share the values of Transition and want to contribute their experience, ideas and perspective.
The Transition movement brings people together to make changes where they live. Thousands of groups around the world are building stronger communities and responding to social and environmental challenges. TNi supports this work by connecting people, sharing learning and helping the movement grow.
As a trustee, you will help guide TNi’s direction and take responsibility for its governance. We share leadership and decision-making across the organisation, and will support you to learn how we work.
Please see HERE for our current trustee board.
Who we hope to hear from
You might bring experience in fundraising, finance, law, fiscal hosting or HR. You might know Transition through a local group or Hub, or have worked with another community organisation.
You do not need to meet every criterion. We value people who listen, work well with others and are open to learning.
We particularly welcome young people, elders, Transition alumni and people of colour, who are underrepresented in our organisation.
What the role involves
This is an unpaid, voluntary role, mainly online, with an average commitment of around half a day a month. Trustees attend three formal meetings a year and take part in strategy gatherings and online discussions.
The initial term is four years. You can be based in the UK or elsewhere in Europe and must be fluent in English.
